Dear Tanja

Hi,Hello. How have you been? I hope you're doing well. It's autumn in Korea. As temperature has been decreasing 1~2 degree cesius a day, it has been actual autumn. The strange thing is, there is no cloud during autum season, it has rained about 10 days. It's really odd weather. How is it weather in Norway, I suppose it woud be colder in Korea because Norway is located higher longitude.

A stamp, which is attached this envelop is a new president of Korea. His name is Jae-myong Lee, a president after absurd martial law. :)
I also bought stamps because i love a conventional stamp better than a barcode sticker which is attached by a postal clerk in post office. I love this method because there is no problem when i attach appropriate stamps for cost when the package is about to go abroad.

I send several stamps to you because of hearing you love to collect stamps. Please don't mind for this because it doesn't cost very much. Also I don't need to additional work buying stamps because I usually buy stamps when post office announced new commemorative stamp. Of course my objective to buy these stamps is for real post sending :). Now I do not collect stamps for hobby, I am gland to hear that you collect stamps. Although one thing I concerned is that the post office sells sheet-type one better than simple stamps because most conventional stamps are collected by professional collectors and for commemorative objectives. I may think that the objective of collection is grown better than real stamp use nowadays.

There's no special event for me. :)  Ah, I send a special document called International reply coupon (IRC). It could be changed to a cheapest stamp for air mail class in the post office. I bought this for fun and to use sending a QSL card (a kind of verification card in amateur radio). Now I re-started amateur radio hobby, I'll tell you this later.  Have a nice autumn season!

Sincerely yours

Hey there, I hope you're doing well! It is autumn here in Korea. It's been lovely to see the temperature dropping by about 1 to 2 degrees each day. It really feels like autumn has sprung! It's a little strange, but there's been no cloud at all during the autumn. It's rained about ten days, which is a lot more than we're used to. The weather is so strange at the moment, isn't it? I'm curious: can you tell me about the weather in Norway? I imagine it would be colder in Korea because Norway is located further north.

Ah, I just wanted to let you know that the stamp on this envelope is of the new President of Korea. His name is Jae-myong Lee, and he's a new president in absurd martial law. :)
I also bought stamps because I love the feel of a real stamp so much more than a barcode sticker. I don't like the idea of having one stuck on by a postal clerk in the post office. I absolutely love this method!

I thought I'd send you a few, as I know you love collecting them. I'm sure you'll understand, it's just a small thing to ask for, and it won't cost you much. I'm so grateful that I don't need to go out and buy stamps on the side, because I always make sure to get them when the post office announces new ones. I absolutely love the idea of buying these stamps to send real postcards! I don't collect stamps as a hobby, but I'm so happy to hear that you do! I was just thinking, though, that one thing I'm a bit worried about is that the post office sells sheet-type ones better than simple stamps. I guess this is because most conventional stamps are collected by professional collectors or for commemorative reasons. I really do think that collecting is a much better way to enjoy stamps than using them in the mail.

There's no special event for me, but I'm sure you'll all have a great time! :)  Hey, I've got this special document here, it's called an International Reply Coupon, or IRC for short. Don't worry, it can easily be changed to the cheapest stamp for airmail in the post office. I bought this for fun and to use sending a QSL card (a kind of verification card in amateur radio), which I really enjoy doing. I'm so excited to tell you about my new hobby! I've started doing amateur radio, and I'll fill you in on all the details later.  I hope you have a lovely autumn season!

With love,

Hello. How have you been?
It's autumn. In Korea, the temperature started dropping by 1-2 degrees Celsius per day, and since last week, it's definitely become autumn weather. The strange thing is, autumn used to be completely cloudless and dry, but this autumn, it's been raining continuously for the past 10 days. It really is strange weather.
Norway is at a higher latitude than Seoul—how's the weather there?

Korea had holidays from October 3rd to October 9th. It's a holiday called Chuseok. You can think of it as a kind of Thanksgiving. I didn't face major difficulties since both my parents and my wife's parents live nearby and I visit often, but I was on call at the hospital during the holiday period. Surgery always has patients needing emergency operations, so this isn't ideal. I'm a seasonedworld-weary doctor now, so I don't feel much of a doctor's calling anymore, but still, during this shift I operated on a woman with sudden intestinal obstruction and sent her home today, so I feel good.

The person on the envelope is Lee Jae-myung, who recently became South Korea's president.president after absurd martial law. Personally, I prefer stamps over the barcode stickers the post office provides, so I bought stamps again this time. Even for international mail, as long as you affix stamps according to the weight, it ships without issue, so I like this method.

Since you collect stamps, I'm including a few with this letter. It's not a significant expense, so please don't worry about it. I buy a few commemorative stamps whenever they're issued and use them for mailing, so it doesn't require any extra effort. I don't collect stamps myself anymore, but knowing you do makes me happy. However, looking at the post office's website lately, it seems they mainly sell commemorative stamps in sheet form now. It seems the purpose of collecting has become more important than their function as postage.
Nothing special happened this time. I just have a few stamps and something interesting called an International Reply Coupon (IRC), so I'm sending those along. I've recently started amateur radio again, but I'll tell you more about that next time.
Wishing you a peaceful autumn.

Sincerely yours
